Joseph Woods applied for the transfer of the license of the Occidental Hotel to Gha/Vss Waldron Adjourned to the 15tfl>» as there was no appearance of the applicant. EESISTING. A BAIMPF. Mr. Bullen stated that there wasactually no other business before the Court, but the bailiff had made an arrert of Mrs. M. A. Hanham. He had "seized* a note which she had in her hand, when Mrs. Haaham tore it and ate part of it. Mrs. Hanham said the bailiff had attempted to seize her hand, and not knowing he was in authority, she had resisted him. Mr. Mason, assistant bailiff, then preferred a charge of assault against Mrs. Hanham, which will bo heard at a future •day.; •■ • ■ ■ ,'• (Subsequently Mrs. Hanham was charged with assaulting the bailiff. She pleaded guilty, and was discharged v 4;he E.M. remarking that had it Been a nSfan a term of imprisonment would hare been awarded.) The Court adjourned.
