THE CROWN PRINCE.
The hall-yearly meeting of; the above company will be held at their ofjice, Wyndham-street, ear-ly next week. Of course, I cannot telj what tEe report will
be like that will be presented to the share. holders, but I can anticipate it will be highly favorable. As to the general affairs of the company, 1 find that tbe lower the works in the Crown Prince are carried, the richer and stronger the lodes become, giving great promise of future dividends, and at no far distant date. There are now three of. the winzes down the required depth, the other two will be completed within a fortnight; thus giving the mine some splendid backs to work on 'as soon as the engine can be got ready for work. The IV 6. 2 reef is expected to be in hand in the cross-cut in a few days, when good gold-bearing stone is expected to be met with, a gbod show of gold having been left at the bottom of the connecting winze In a winze being sunk on the No 1 reef, the crushing stuff is 5 feet thick, with more or less gold through" it. The fire-damp that caused so much trouble a short time since has seemingly died out; the heavier ga« will also be dispelled when the contemplated ventilation is completed.
