Auckland, This day.
At the Albion meeting to-day, the directors' report stated that the commencement of works has been delayed beyond the anticipated time by the protracted labors of the Pumping Association in sinking tlie shaft, and by the time i ccupied in making arragements with adjoining companies for the advantageous working of the Albion mine. This has been arranged on such a basis as greatly to cheapen the expense to the company. The'directors had every confidence in a better report next year. Receipts for for the year.—Calls, £479 ; Tributers £1331; balance from last year, £1281 ; expenditure, £1572; leaving a cash balance in the bank of New Zealand of £15 19s. The directors were re-elected.
The Loch Awe inquiry continued today. The Doctor produced two witnesses to show that he gave them satisfaction.
