London, June 2. On Saturday, in celebration of the Queen's birthday, the Earl of Carnarvon, Colonial Secretary, entertained the Colonial Representatives at a State banquet. The Duke of Edinburgh was present. All the Australian securities are very firm. The balance of the New Zealand loan was taken at 98. June 3. The race for the Derby was-won by Cartwright's George * Frederick ; Lord Boseberry's Corone de Fer, second ; Lord Falmouth's Atlantic, third. Twenty horses started. Corone de Fer was favorite at starting. Aquila, Atlantic and George Frederick were also backed. Home, June 4. " The Pope had a relate, with loss of i appetite, and suffering from strong fever. His physicians are now alarmed. I June 5. The Pope is better, and the doctors advise change of air. His Holiness refuses to leave .the Vatican, Paris, June 4. The Assembly are discussing concurrently municipal. and electoral bills, which will have the effect of disfranchising three million voters. , .

The German Preis ridicule the idea of the candidature of a Prussian Prince for the Spanish throne. New Yobk, May 30. Kochefort has arrived in New York. He declined a public reception, but published a letter justifying the burning of buildings and the executions under the Paris Commune. He describes his sufferings at New Caledonia, and denounces Marshal MicMahon.
