THE THEATRE EOYAL.
The company now visiting, the Thames gave their entertainment at the Theatre Jioyallast evening instead of the Academy of Music. There was a: very good attendance. The piece given was the old favorite play of the " Green Bushes" with Miss Stephenson as Miami, Mr Collier as Wild Murtough, and Mr Soutlras Jack G-ong. The piece was well put on the stage and was splendidly acted ; it gave Miss Stephonson an excellent opportunity for/displaying . the versatility of her genius. Miss Bushe played Geraldine carefully and well. Mrs.C, Searle as Megacted to the very life. Mr Collier is no mean actor—he studies his impersonations, and really does show the author's meaning.. ■Mr South it seems would be at home in any character he may choose to'pJay, unless it should be one fr.om which he could not elicit fun. The acting and dressing to character of this company are very good, arid it is hoped that they will prolong their stay, and with profit'to the treasury.
