STAR TELEGRAMS

AUCKLAND.

PER ANGLO-AUSTRALIAN PRESS TELEGRAPH AGENCY. AUCKLAND. , Auckland, This day. In the Police Court to-day two other charges against Macfarlane were called —T. Beckham, Esq., E.M., on the Bench. —Mr. Bees, Harris' counsel, objected to proceed with the cases, on the ground that Macfarlane was closeted with Mr. Bectham subsequent to the laying of the informations. He said he had reported the whole circumstance to the Government, and was content to abide the result—Mr. Beckham said he had not seen the informations when he had the interview with Macfarlane.—No evidence being called, both charges were dismissed.
