THE MANUKAU.

The reports from this old mine are, this morning most encouraging. The reef continues to hold its own in thickness, gold shewing in the face through the reef. The gold in the reef is heavier and more plainly visible towards the Golden Hill than towards the other lineal boundary. Crushing is being still continued with favorable results, and it is the proprietors' (there are only three of them) opinion that the reef is, so far as their mine is conc^raedjranr entirely distinct lode to anything- that has-been before met with in their workings.
