U.S. PART IN UNITED NATIONS
Legislation Approved By Senate (9.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 5. The Senate passed and sent to the House of Representatives legislation approving United States participation in the United Nations Organisation. The Senate rejected a proposal requiring the President to ask Congress for authority each time American troops were furnished to the Security Council. The approved legislation woo require the President to obtain Congressional approval only regarding the numbers and types of Armed Forces to be supplied.
