TIMARU BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Timaru Branch oi the Plunket Society was held >n Tuesday, Mrs A. B. Herdman presiding over an attendance of 15 members. The nurses reported that there had been 31 new cases for the month. Visits to homes totalled 275, to rooms 1281 and the number of babies under supervision 445. The secretary and president reported on ‘he Rose Day results. To date £289/11/- was in hand and there were several sums yet to come m which should bring the total substantially above that of the previous year. The president thanked all those who had worked so hard to make Rose Dav such a success and a special vote of thanks was accorded the manager of Dominion Motors for the use of their company's showroom as the “shop.” The president in bidding farewell to Mrs Fogg and Mrs Lee, who were attending their last meeting before leaving Timaru, thanked them for the work they had done and expressed the regret of the committee at losing them, but wished them all success in their new homes.
