The sitpation regarding the release of military news is becoming farcical, says the Batavia correspondent of “The Times.” An official statement issued yestprday is almost an exact replica of that of the previous day and was mostly Saturday’s news and some of it Friday’s. The correspondent adds: "There, is a military censorshin of the most vicious sort—a censorship at the sptjrce. Nobodv in the army from Sir Philip Christison downwards may communicate information to Press correspondents, who are not allowed to make independent inquiries. ’ They are given a statement in the morning and are allowed to ask questions about it in tlie evening.
