SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU

Waterfront Has Busy Period WHARVES WILL BE FULL TO-DAY Work on the Edward Bruce, which is loading French consignments at No. 1 wharf, was stopped by rain yesterday afternoon, and it is not expected that she will clear before to-morrow. From here she proceeds to Bluff to complete her Dominion shipments, and sails thence for Marseilles, via Suez. To-day will be a busy one on the waterfiont, if the weather clears. This morning the Waipiata is due from Dunedin to discharge North Island cargo and to lift produce and general shipments for Auckland; she is listed to sail again to-night, proceeding to Wellington. The latest radio advice from the Karitane, en route from Adelaide, indicated that she would berth at Timaru to-night. She is bringing Australian flour to be discharged here and at Oamaru; before sailing on Friday there is some general cargo, consigned to Australian ports, for her to take in. Leaving Wellington yesterday, the Wainui is coming to Timaru "direct with cargo for discharge. She will not load but proceeds to Dunedin tomorrow’, and returns later in the month for Napier and Gisborne shipments. VESSEL IN PORT Wharf No. I—Edward Bruce, s.s., 7176 tons (Captain W. S.
