CHRISTMAS AT HOME
Men From Britain And Mediterranean (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. The former P. and O. liner Mocltan, with Second N.Z.E.F. personnel from Britain, Italy and Egypt aboard, including the remainder of members of the Eighth and earlier reinforcements, married men of the Ninth and about 390 single men of the Ninth Reinforcement, will arrive in Wellington about December 21. and men in the draft will reach their homes for Christmas, said the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, to-day. The Minister said that when he made the announcement that the ship would reach New Zealand toward the end of December, the Government had not been advised that the ship had already sailed from the Middle East, but more precise information was now available. The next-of-kin of the men who embarked in Britain had already been notified, and early next week the next-of-kin of those who joined the ship hi Italy and Egypt will also be advised.
