N.S.W. CHAMPIONSHIPS (Rec. 9.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 23. In the semi-finals of the New South Wales tennis championships. Bromwich beat Hopman 7-5, 6-2. 6-1 and Pails beat Brow’n 6-4, 8-6, 6-1. Bromwich, after his discharge from the Services, is playing just as well if not better, than before the war Pails and Brown are voting aspirants for the. Australian Davis Cup team Both play an attacking game similar to the Americans and both have terrific services. Quist was unable to play in .the singles championship because ol a. tennis elbow.
