President Truman Denies Knowledge
(730 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Oct. 31. Replying to a question. Mr Truman said Britain and Canada knew how to produce the atomic bomb. He did not believe that Mr Churchill and President Roosevelt reached a secret agreement at Quebec for the peacetime use of atomic energy. Mr Attlee was coming to Washington orimarilv to discuss atomic energy, but he could’ talk about anything he chose. The next step after the American. British and Canadian agreement on international atomic bomb policy would be discussions with other European Governments.
