WORLD FEDERATION

Trade Union Move PARIS, October 3. Mr Sidney Hillman, as chairman of the Constitutional Committee of the World Trades Union Congress, to-day announced to cheering delegates thdt the committee had unanimously agreed on the constitution for the new World Federation of Trade Unions.

Mr Hillman said the constitution was a compromise, which had the approval of the executive committee. He asked for quick approval for this unification of world labour. “The main British amendments have been written in,” says the Associated Press “but nothing has been written in as some delegates suggested to restrict or prohibit any political activityin which the Federation might See fit to engage. A clause has been added providing for the admission only of bona fide Trade Union organisations.”
