AMERICAN CARS

No Import Licences Yet Issued (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. No licences for the import of cars to New Zealand from the United States Or Canada have yet been granted by the Government. Licences for the import of British Cars were granted several months ago. The first British cars since the war began will be landed at Wellington early next week. They will be a 10 horse power model in broad outline unchanged from the design of the 1939 type, but refined in numerous details as the result of experience gained in the last five years. A larger consignment of the same model is expected to arrive within the next two weeks, and from then on there will be a steady supply.
