War Memorial Suggested ‘•We will soon have to be considering the question of a war memorial." said the Rev. M. W. Wilson at the annual meeting of the Chalmers Presbyterian Church last night. Mr Wilson emphasised the need tor a memorial to be a thine of beauty and of permanence so that it would remind coming generations of the sacrifices made for the preservation of freedom. “I think of those parish churches of England and. particularlv. Scotland." he said, 'whore there are monuments that tell of the struggle through the ages for freedom of thought and religion. There are many churches in Scotland that tell in their memorials the story of the struggle of the Covenanters. ’ ft was suggested that a stained-glass window might be placed in the Church a a memorial.
