Claims Of Netherlands LONDON. August 18. The Netherlands Government has addressed a Note to the British, American. French and Russian Governments, in which it formally presented the Netherlands claim for reparations from Germany. „ t The Note points out that the Netherlands suffered exceptionally great loss and damage as the result ol German aggression compared with most other occupied countries. A vast amount of capital equipment and consumer goods was taken to Germany. More than 8 per cent, of the agricultural area was flooded and 6 per cent, rendered unfit for immediate use because of military operations. It adds that the Government reserves the right to claim certain adjacent Prussian territory to give the Netherlands appropriate compensation for Germany s aggression.
