Victory Bonus Proposed
A victory bonus of a weeks holiday on full pay has been proposed by the Commonwealth Public oervants Association, and it is stated officially that the Australian Government favours the idea, which could be adopted by private employers. Federal public servants gave up their Saturday mornings off during the war and also worked long hours, mostly without extra pay.
