PERSONAL
Mr W. C. Smith has been appointed Secretary of Marine. Mr Smith had been accountant in the Marine Department since 1937. He joined the Public Service in 1912 and served in the last war. Mr J. E. Engel has been appointed Assistant Public Service Commissioner. Mr Engel has been inspector in Ihe Commissioner’s office since 1936. He was formerly in the Audit Department, and is a returned soldier of the last war.
