BURNSIDE SALE
GOOD PRICES REALISED (N.Z.P.A.) DUNEDIN, Aug. 15. There was a small yarding of cattle at Burnside to-day, 420 head being offered.' The small supply resulted m a keen sale and the market showed an Improvement of fully 30 - a head on last week’s rates. Prime steers made £22 to £29/17/6, medium £lB to £2O. light £l6/2/6 up, prime heifers £l5/17/6 to £23/17/6, light £l4/2/6 up, prime cows £l2/17’6 to £lB/17/6. medium £9/12'6 to £lO/12/6, and light from £8 '2 '6 The offering of fat sheep was a small one, approximately 1200 being forward. There was a keen sale, prices being 3 - to 4/- above those ruling last week. Best wethers made 60 - to 64 6, prime 51/- to 56/-. medium to 46/-, and light from 37/-. Prime ewes made 37/6 to 42/6 and medium 29/- to 31/6. The yarding of baconers was a small one with prices on a par with last week’s sale. Prime baconers made £6/10'- to £8 14 -, medium £5/5/- to £5/12/-, and light from £4/16/-.
