CLANDEBOYE
Women’s Division At the August meeting of the Clandeboye branch of the W.D.F.U., Mrs L. Phiskie presided. A programme of competitions for the remaining months of the year was drawn up, Mrs Gason, of Milford, being thanked for her help in this direction. Mrs A. Botting and Miss Langrell reported on the visit to the Temuka Insulator Works, which took the place of the July meeting. A competition, nursery rhymes, arranged by Mrs Botting, was won by Mrs Adair. In the speciment bloom competitions Mrs Botting won both the single and cluster classes. At the July meeting the monthly competitions were won as follows: Raspberry jam, Miss Bisdee 1, Mrs Phiskie 2, Mrs Adair 3; onions, Mrs Adair 1 and 2. Miss Bisdee 3; apples, Miss D. Bisdee 1, Mrs J. Kernohan 2; specimen bloom, single, Mrs Adair 1 and 2; cluster, Mrs Adair 1, Mrs Kernohan 2.
