I lax Factories.—Although no tinal decision has been made, it was indicated by the Minister <)f Industries and i Commerce 'the Hon. I). G. Sullivan) this week that half (he linen flax factories in New Zealand would be | closed down alter the war. Mr Sullivan j said that a report or recommendation • from the Linen Flax Management I Committee staled that the industry j could be carried on economically with the closing flown of seven factories. 'That, recommendation would probably ' be adopted but a final decision had not yet been made by the Government. |
