Al Stock, the New Zealand light- | weight boxer, aged 28, who is at. present [in Sydney, has an ambition to meet j the Australian champion, Vic Patrick. : “Having beaten all the light-weights 11 had to meet welter-weights in New ; Zealand and all my matches this year l have been in that division, so I decided to come to Australia," said Stock. "I | have had a win, loss and a draw against i Vic Caltaux.” I Stock, who was recently discharged | after serving four years with the New I Zealand Army, knocked out the Allies’ I Pacific champion, Billy Strauss, in the seventh round, and another American champion in the first round. His first I match in Sydney will be against Reg. [ Tozer on August 11.
