POTSDAM MEETING
Sir, Ycur editorial on the “Potsdam mee’ing” is interesting as well as informative. The urevious meeting of the Big Three at Yalta does not give much encouragement. The cabled news of late suggests a conspiracy oi silenje ivgardmv Poland. I am wondering if this country will again be on th? dissecting table. The latest figures to hand show that Poland has lost 16,000.000 people or 28 per cent oi her . ovulation. Of this number 1.045.006 are military casualties. The remainder ar? in concentration camps in Russia and scattered all over the world. Had Poland made terms with Hitler in the first place the Poles would have been in a much better position to-day. One wonders whether they were on the side of the Allies or the Axis rowers. The more concessions made o he greater are the demands, and ore wonders where it will all end. .Fui’ire historians will class the Yalta dr isiens as the greatest ramp in history. I nave before me an extract from U snrech of Mr Churchill on Communisu made in 1937. It would take a nw-tor mind to reconcile it with his, actions in 1945. I am afraid th? dragons' teeth were .veil and truly planted at Yalta—l am. etc.. Kights of Small Nations.
