Guilt Admitted -N.Z.P.AJ HASTINGS. July 23, • The theft ol a moiu'vbelt containing I about £6OO from a whare occupied by I Chinese at Haumoana on July 13 last j was admitted by William Manaena. a | labourer, aged 19. and Owen Desmond j Prue, a millhand, aned 18. at the Magistrate's Court this morning. i It was stated bv the police that about £l6O was still missing, the greater part being in the monevbelt. when it was thrown into the Tukituki River. In spite of an extensive search the I money had not been found. ! Accused were* committed to the | Supreme Court for sentence.
