Weather The weather has been warm during the day and the snow is clearing from the roads in and near the township. In the outlying districts of Ashwick and Sherwood, where the snow is about 18 inches deep, farmers are having a difficult time in removing sheep. Parts of the ranges have been cleared of snow, but in gullies and low-lying places the snow is many feet deep. A number of those who attended the Mackenzie County Council staff ball on Friday night, had much difficulty in getting home. A Sherwood Downs resident was snowbound about the monument on the Clayton road, and had to pass some very uncomfortable hours in his car waiting for daylight. He finally arrived home on Saturday evening. Others also had to spend some hours in cars.
