ATLANTIC RESCUE SHIPS
Tribute To Gallantry (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. May 30. Merchant Navy rescue ships operating with the Royal Navy on convoy duties during the Battle of the Atlantic saved more than 4000 lives, stated the Board of the Admiralty, in a message to masters, officers and crews. The Board of the Admiralty paid tribute to their steadfast gallantry. Rescue ships are now returning to normal duties.
