U-Boat Sunk An Admiralty communique states that his Majesty’s yacht Evadne, while on patrol in the North Atlantic recently attacked and it is believed severely damaged a submerged U-boat. Later in the same vicinity minesweepers encountered a U-boat on the surface and sank it. Battle in Indo-China
The Paris radio, quoting a French general staff announcement, says French troops in Indo-China are still fighting against an enemy overwhelming superior in numbers and equipment in a battle which has been going on for 50 days.
