Betting on Horses.—The question of whether the type of betting overheard by a detective before a police raid on premises indicated that only “two-up” was being played was raised when the detective was being cross-examined before Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M.. Auckland. “I know of no other game in which players bet. on heads or tails,” said the witness. “Could it not have been a horse-racing game?” counsel asked.
