Women Shot In Berlin
LONDON, January 30. The Swiss newspaper “Feiule D’Avis de Neuchatel” publishes a Berlin dispatch stating; that hunger and severe cold are exacting a heavy toll from hundreds of thousands of refugees driven to Berlin by the Russian advance. The police fired on a mass of famished women who overturned a lorry load of potatoes, killing 37. At least 20 were wounded in another food riot last night in the north-west of Berlin.
Refugees are burning park benches and overturning and setting fire to trams to keep themselves warm.
