WEATHER SOUTH CANTERBURY FORECAST

FAIR TO FINE The following is the forecast foi South Canterbury issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the period ending 5 p.m. to-day:— General Situation A series of westerly depressions is passing in the south. An anti-cyclone is over the North Tasman Sea. Forecast Winds. Moderate north-easterly winds .on the plains, variable inland. Weather.—Fair to fine; temperatures warm. TIMARU RECORDS Sun rises at Timaru to-day 5.31 a.m.; sets 8.7 p.m. High water at Timaru to-day 4.54 a.m.; 5.16 p.m.

Sunshine to date last year; 243.1hr5. IN OTHER CENTRES Temuka.—Yesterday was warm with a north-east wind. The maximum temperature was 77 degrees and the minimum 46. The glass was steady last evening.
