Australian Savings Australians have saved more money during the last three war years than ever before. Savings bank deposits have increased by £271.000.000 during the last five years, and most of this increase has occurred since 1942. War certificates to the value of almost £48.000.000 have been purchased since they were first issued in March, 1940.
