SUCCESSFUL PICNIC

Piping And Dancing Association

More than 200 members and sunporters of the South Canterbury Piping and Dancing Association attended the second annual picnic, which was held under ideal condition' at Centennial Park yesterday. The function is understood to be the’ largest organised picnic to have been held at Centennial Park. An energetic committee, with Mr J. Glass as secretary, made excellent arrangements for the outing. Before Mrs Munro distributed the prizes won at the sports meeting, the president, Mr R. W. Munro, said that the function had been arranged to show appreciation of the loyal support of members, helpers and competitors at the Association’s various functions throughout the year.
