WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. The Foxbridge-Ann Acre colt, purchased for 3000 guineas at the yearling sales yesterday, will remain in New Zealand until after the war in charge of A. Winder, Te Rapa, who bought it in the name of Mr A. E. Bowler, the well-known promoter of amusement enterprises.
Seen yesterday, Mr Bowler said he had a buying commission from an American at present in the United States armed forces. He could not say if the American would want the colt. If he did not, he would keep it for himself. Mr E. A. Bowler, a brother, came specially from Perth for the sale. He bought a bay colt by Bulandshar from Gallant Kin. for 425 guineas.
