(9.30 pun.) LONDON, December 20. Oxford University's first woman professor will be the Harley Street surgeon. Miss Ida Mann (51) w’ho is being appointed at £2OOO < sterling! a year. She at present is leader of a team of doctors, chemists, physicists, dietitians and psychologists engaged in research in the treatment of eye diseases. She is hoping to beat blindness by determining the proportions of different foods and vitamin concentrates being sent to millions of undernourished people in Liberated Europe.
