One of these schools was near Konigsberg, and the other jn an ancient castle at Kuestrin’ on the river Oder. The commandant of the Kuestrin school was Major Wagner who led many punitive expeditions into Poland and the Ukraine, and is regarded as one of Germany’s greatest experts on guerrilla warfare.”
