UNSETTLED The following is the forecast for South: Canterbury issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the period ending 5 p.m. to-day:— General Situation.—An intense depression is passing south-east across the North Island and a trough is advancing from the west across the Central Tasman Sea. Winds.—Fresh to strong easterly to northeasterly, winds. Weather.—Overcast with occasional drizzle or rain probable; temperatures moderate.
