GREEK DISUNITY

Appeal By Prime Minister (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 1. Disagreements between certain leaders of the Greek guerrilla bands and the Greek authorities ouside occupied Greece, unfortunately, continue. Mr Papandreou, the recently appointed Prime Minister, in a broadcast from Cairo last night, called upon “the committee in the mountains” to come to a definite decsion regarding their participation in the Government of National Unity. Forty days, he said, had elapsed since the national conference at Lebanon, but the participation of the National Liberation Movement had not been achieved. He again invited M. Svolos and other representatives to enter- the Government so that the National Charter of Lebanon could be carried out. The major part of the National Liberation Movement would follow their example, and eventually compel the extremists to submit to the nation’s will.
