General Sir lan Hamilton Now 91

(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 15. General Sir lan Hamilton, G.C.8., G.C.M.G., will celebrate his 91st birthday to-morrow.
Asked how he felt, Sir lan Hamilton said: “If you reverse the figures, that is just how I feel.” General Sir lan Hamilton was General Officer Commanding-in-Chlef in the Mediterranean and InspectorGeneral of the Overseas Forces from 1910 to 1915. He commanded the Mediterranean expeditionary force in
1915. He first entered the Army in 1873 and served in the Afghan War in 1878-80, being twice mentioned in dispatches. He served in the Boer War. in the Nile Expedition 1884-85, the Burmese Expedition, 1886-87, in the Chitral relief force in 1895, and commanded the Third Brigade in the Tirah Campaign in 1897-98. He held various military positions up to the time of the Great War.
