Brief Period Of Go-slow (N.Z.P.A.) OAMARU, Jan. 15. A go-slow policy was adopted by the chain slaughtermen at the Waitaki Farmers' Freezing Company's works yesterday as the result of a dispute with the management, but this morning. after a conference betweep the slaughtermen and the management, an agreement w as reached that work Would be resumed unconditionally and at the normal rate. ■' "■ A workers' meeting of 20 minutes’ duration was held by the butchers on Wednesday and their decision on the question in dispute was expected at noon yesterday, but no decision was communicated to the management. It was reported that the slaughtermen did not understand some of the regulations, notably one giving the company the right to put learners on the chain. The secretary of the Labbur Union <Mr Milburn, of Dunedint visited the works this morning and, after a conference, the decision to abandon go-slow was arrived at.
