The Moscow correspondent of “The Times” says that German shelling continues day and night, and scarcely a building is unscarred. Anxiety and sleeplessness are placing a heavy strain on the nerves of the inhabitants Most of the main streets have notices warning people to avoid the north side, w'hich is exposed to shellfire. Cinemas, shops and houses facing the south are mostlv closed. Theatre audiences sit in their coats ready to leave at a moment’s notice. Before taking their seats they are instructed in what order they must file out in the event of an emergency;
