RECORD TEMPERATURE Brilliant sunshine and practically no wind made yesterday the warmest day experienced this summer. Following are the records taken it Timaru Park for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday with the exception of the maximum temperature for the day, which is taken at 7 p.m.:— Max. temperature in shade: 87.2. Min. temperature on grass: 51.2. Wind: Nil. Rainfall: Nil. Rainfall to date this year: .05 inch. Sunshine: 9.8 hours. Sunshine to date this year: 65.7hr5. IN OTHER CENTRES Temuka.—Yesterday was warm with a north-easterly breez-e. Tire maximum temperature was 91 degrees and the minimum 50. The glass was falling slowly last evening.
