VERY WARM Yesterday was very warm with a cool north-easterly breeze. Following are the records taken at Timaru Park for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday with the exception of the maximum temperature for the day, which is taken at 7 p.m.:— Max. temperature in shade: 72.0. Min. temperature on grass: 47.6. Wind: N.E.2. Rainfall: Nil. Rainfall to date this year: .05 inch. Sunshine: 7.7 hours. Sunshine to date this year: 55.9hr5. IN OTHER CENTRES Tcmuka.—Yesterday was fine with a northerly breeze. The maximum temperature was 76degrees and the minimum 44. The glass was steady last evening. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday).—Barometer, 29.6; thermometer, maximum, 78.0, minimum 52.0; bright sunshine, 10 hours 42 minutes; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 49. Yesterday was sunny and hot.
