DRASTIC CONTROL

(11.55 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, Jan. 6. A Government decree imposes drastic control of the Argentine press and foreign correspondents. It prohibits the publication of news or comment deemed contrary to the national interest, makes publication of Governmental communiques and information obligatory, and authorises the Government to withdraw from circulation any publication violating the decree.
