Policy of Government LONDON, Nov. 10. The Secretary of State for the Coli onies 'Colonel Oliver Stanley) said today that the Government had given ' further consideration to the (fimstion i<ii the immigration of Jews into Pal'c.linr, in view of the fact that the I exigencies of war had prevented many , Jews from reaching Palestine lx-fore the expiry of the term for immigration set, by the White Paper of 1939. Colonel Stanley said the Government now considered it would be unfair to close Palestine to further immigration He said that immigration had been short of the quota established by the White Paper by 31.000.
