Farewell Social There was a good attendance at Cricklewood when residents and friends gathered to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs E. Taylor, who are leaving the district for Timaru. In making a presentation on behalf of the residents, Mr E. J. Anderson, chairman of the School Committee, expressed regret at losing Mr and Mrs Taylor and wished them every happiness In their retired life. Other speakers were Messrs C. Tubb, J. Corbett, W. Toomey, D. Gordon and J. C. Voight. Mrs Guy spoke on behalf of the Te Ngawai Women’s Institute. Card winners were Miss D Ellem and Mr D. Conner, Miss M. Esler and Mr T. Simpson. Prizes were given by Miss Browne, Mr F. O’Donnell and Mr C. Tubb.
