Timaru Competitions Continue Three Championships Decided The Timaru Competitions were continued yesterday in the Caroline Bay Hall and Tearooms, when the attendances were good at all sessions and the standard of performances high. Madge Robertson, of Oamaru, won the South Canterbury championship Sean Triubhais, any age, and Shirley Mills, of Oamaru, won the South Canterbury Sailor's Hornpipe championship, under 12. Mrs J. A. Shea’s challenge cup for singing, own selection, under 16, was won by Desmond Irvine, of Timaru. Results were as follows (competitors being from Timaru unless otherwise stated):— Highland Fling, any age (17 competitors): Madge Robertson (Oamaru), 86 points, 1; Orma Ford, 83 points, 2; Dorothy Aiken (Christchurch), 81 points, 3.
