BOWLING

ASHBURY WOMEN’S CLUB The Ashbury Women’s Bowling Club held their closing afternoon on Thursday in ideal weather. Progressive pairs were played and were won by Mesdames Luck and Williams. In the evening a social hour was spent with progressive euchre and prizes were presented by the patroness. Mrs Thomas, as follows: Foden Cup .(championship singles). Mrs Stevenson; runner-up, Mrs Luck; Davie Cup. Mrs Tregenza; runner-up, Mrs Hamlyn; pairs, Mesdames Stevenson and Whitton; runners-up, Mesdames Baker and Clark; rinks, Mesdames Henshaw. Entwhistle, Wardell and Bail’d; runners-up, Mesdames Baker, Lewis. Pearce and Anderson; trophy presented by Mr Young, Mrs Baird; trophy presented by Mr Kerse, Mrs Stevenson; trophy presented by Mrs Clark, Mrs Gray.
