FRENCH QUISLING LEADER
Attempted Assassination (7.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. A number of men using automatic pistols last night attacked Marcel Deat, leader of the French Quisling group, at his country estate, says the Paris radio. Dcat and his wile were not hit. but a member of the police escort was wounded. The telephone lines to the estate were cut. Deat was wounded by a bullet in August, 1941, and a bomb was thrown at him in March, 1942. lie is the founder and leadei of the Fascist Party Populaire and editor of “Loeuvre.”
